File Formats that can be imported into Movie Maker

• Still images: .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .jfif, .gif
• Audio files: .wav, .snd, .au, .aif, .aifc, .aiff, .mp3, .wmv
• Video files: .asf, .avi, .wmv, MPEG1, .mpeg, .mpg, .m1v, .mp2

File Formats for Saving from Movie Maker

• Windows Media video files: .wmv
• Windows Media audio files: .wma
• DV/AVI format for video: .avi

File Management
Before downloading or collecting any media, you must have a file management system. Each of you have a folder in your X Drive called "multimedia project folder". This where all pieces and parts of your project will be saved - on your X Drive. Inside that folder are the following folders - USE THEM.

• still images (save all images here, photos and/or art)
• music (save all music here)
• research notes (there is a Word Doc started here for you)
• video clips (save all video clips here)
• narration (save voice narration here)
• works cited (there is a Powerpoint slide started here for you)
